What To Bring Along
Depending on the nature of your presenting complaint, you may need to bring along some items to the consultation. For example, if you have had past history of foot and ankle pain and have had x-rays, been fitted with orthotic devices previously or have medical reports that describe your condition, these will all be of benefit to your treating podiatrist. If you have a referral from your General Practitioner, Medical Specialist or Allied Health Practitioner, it is necessary to bring it along. Here is a list of things to bring along;
Cancellation PolicyHere at Natural Foot Podiatry we strive to give excellent Podiatry care to all our patients.
We understand that there will be times that you will not be able to keep a scheduled appointment with our Podiatrist. With this in mind we would appreciate that if time allows that you give us at least 24 hours’ notice if you wish to cancel or change your appointment. This can allow for other patient’s to access the appointment. A 24 hour cancellation policy applies which will result in a $30-$60 fee being charged if an appointment is cancelled with less than 24 Hours’ notice. This fee will also apply for missed appointments with non-attendance. |
Payment Options
We request that your fee is paid at the time of the consultation, unless you have Veterans' Affairs Entitlements or other third-party funding in which an invoice will be forwarded. We have Tyro Private Health Fund claiming and accept EFTPOS payments including Visa and Mastercards, debit cards and cash. Medicare EPC Referral
All patients with chronic conditions such as diabetes, arthritis, vision impairment, heart disease etc are eligible for full payment for standard podiatry visits through the Medicare system. You will need to see your General Practitioner and ask for a Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Program referral. This will involve a longer than normal consultation at your GP's practice, so please advise them in advance about the nature of your visit. All appointment types incur a fee with a CDM referral providing a Medicare rebate of $58.00 as per MBS schedule of fees for Podiatry (as at 1st July 2023). You will need to bring along your Medicare card . You must have an existing Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Program with your GP to claim this item. Also known as Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) Plan. Veterans' Affairs
Veterans' Affairs patients have full funding for all podiatry visits, orthotics, surgery, footwear assessments and many other items. Please ensure you bring your DVA Entitlement card along to the visit. National Disability Insurance Agency
